Constituents: Lactones, Kava pyrones.
Actions: Relaxant, Hypnotic, Antidepressant, Antispasmodic, Anodyne, Anti-fungal, Sedative.
Anxiety, insomnia, fear, nervousness, stress, restlessness, muscle relaxant, menopause ass with anxiety.
Improves mood.
Muscle tension, pain.
Especially urinary tract.
Herbal extract: 20-60mL per week.
Surgical concerns: May increase sedative effects of anesthesia.
Recommendations: Discontinue at least 24 hours before surgery.
Energetics: Bitter, pungent, warm, dry.
Meridians: kidney, bladder, spleen, heart.
Caution: Liver disease, tong can get numb, high doses; dry, scaly skin.
