Actions: Anti-inflammatory, Astringent, Vulnerary, Emmenagogue, Spasmolytic, Cholagogue, Anti-septic, Antibiotic, Immune stimulant, mild Diuretic, Anti-bacterial.
Active against bacteria and virus, Herpes simplex, Varicose veins, Haemorrhoids, Lymphoma, Crural ulcers, tonsillitis, Colds, Flu, Irritable bowel syndrome, Gastric ulcers, Enteritis, Jaundice, Hepatitis, Indigestion, Constipation, Candidiasis, Vaginal thrush, Blood and lymph cleanser, as cream for all skin problems.
BHP specific, for inflamed Lymph glands, Sebaceous/ovarian cysts, duodenal ulcers, Anti-fibrotic (adhesions); endometriosis. Mouth ulcers wash +Echinacea.
Herbal extract: 10-25mL per week.
Energetics: Bitter, pungent, (sweet, salty), cooling. Dosha: PK- V+.
Meridians: liver, heart, lungs.
Caution: Because of strong alcohol content care is needed when using tincture on abraded tissues such as peptic ulcers.
